iSymphony leaves out the kitchen sink

iSymphony cuts loose a 1-to-4 wireless audio solution.  Looks a bit cheesy, but will no doubt sell a good bit via Costco this winter at $399.99.  Just beware folks.  This ain't home theater, and if you want real stereo music, you are only getting two zones with this system.  If you can live with mono sound, you can get up to 4 zones.  Interesting system design tradeoffs.  Not sure I would have done this.  Although I wouldn't have used the wireless system they did (which ulitmately limits what's possible).  Again.  NOT Avnera.

So what are you saying -- this isn't worth it? I want something wireless that covers more than one room -- 2 rooms probably enough. Any other suggestions? I don't feel like paying thousands for a guy to come and run wires into all rooms though I realize that would be better.

COSTCO dropped price by 50 on this in sale ending May 3rd but yet to see it getting shipped. Been having second thoughts on this order as not sure how this will / can connect with new Onkyo TX-SR607 just being shipped for the main room. Any tips ?

I bought the iSymphony with two wireless speakers earlier this month for $199 at CostCo. Effective today there is a coupon for $50 off the same unit. So today I went and returned my unit, then bought it again with the coupon for $149. Amazing what I will do for fifty bucks. This not an audiophile's unit, however for easy sound in many rooms, it works great. The FM radio reception is good after playing with the external antenna. I am going to order additional speakers for it right now.
