Disclosures
I currently work for SDI Technologies, Inc, maker of iHome brand of iPhone/iPod accessories. I participate in product development, iPhone app development, and marketing.
I worked at Avnera between 2004 to 2009, and I blog about their products because I like to blog about things I’ve worked on, and help explain the technology and features of those products.
I’ve worked at other places like Dell, Ford, Boeing… but other than Dell, that hardly is relevant for this disclosure, and even Dell was a “couple Dells ago.”
All opinions and statements are in no way endorsed or directed by my present or past employers, and are solely made by me on my own behalf.
I keep a personal blog on tumblr and every now and again comment on behalf of my work and related items on popular blog sites Gizmodo and Engadget as “WAE.” As is the case on my personal blogs, my comments on the internet are personal and not on behalf of any employer, client, or affiliate, unless noted as such. I basically try to be informative or offer clarifications on behalf of projects I’ve worked on where I deem it’s appropriate. It’s pretty obvious I’ve worked on Avnera, Best Buy, Logitech, Creative, and iHome products, as examples.
This site is really a journal of the projects I have worked on, and various thoughts I have about the space along the way. I do not focus on reviews or comprehensive industry coverage, nor do I care to for the foreseeable future. I view my audience as likely purchasers of wireless audio products, current users of products I’ve written about, and my family, friends, and ex-colleagues who want to know what I’ve been up to.
