First seen back at CES. Creative has put together a very nice package with the HS-1200 set [Product page on Creative website].
One of the features that sets the HS-1200 apart from products like the FREETALK or the Clearchat, is the SoundBlaster X-Fi technology that Creative bundles in. X-Fi delivers some pretty kick-ass […]

iTunes Remote: a long time coming
While many early adopter types (like me) have been fiddling with Airtunes, and looking for ways to turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a remote control for whole home audio, clearly the engineers at Apple have been doing the same, and building the native functionality into the iPhone OS 2.0 and the latest version […]
Wired says Audioengine W1 “surprisingly effective”
Wired’s Gadget Lab reviewed the Audioengine W1. Product summed up nicely. Thanks to Rob Beschizza for the Avnera shoutout
Check it out.
And EngadgetHD too… though not a review…
Comment thread here pretty decent as well… fair and balanced folks. Although again, many of the negative experiences mentioned in the thread could have been addressed if they visit this comment thread. I’m also loving the shout-0uts for AudioEngine’s AW1. Which rocks in its own way.
How did I miss this review on Crunchgear? Yikes… I’m slipping!
CrunchGear review of Rocketfish’s RF-WHTIB. Still you can’t beat the comment thread here at wirelessaudioblog - it trumps all for answers to your questions. Thanks!
I’ve been tinkering… Apple Airtunes is pretty slick
Many folks are familiar with Apple Airport Express and Airtunes. It provides the ability to send iTunes audio from a PC/Mac to speakers that are connected to the Airport Express (which has both a Toslink and a line-level output). I’ve been playing with the latest variant. With Airport Express w/ wireless N, they’ve […]
Gizmodo offers a small stage for the Audioengine W1
While I know that everyone’s blog is just as accessible as another, these blog/media machines — like Gizmodo’s Gawker Media and Engadget’s Weblogs Inc. — just know how to attract the eyeballs. They’re undeniably centers of gravity when it comes to attracting the gadget lusty peanut gallery. I just wish they spelled “AvneraAudio” […]
MacBook Air. Engineering marvel, yes. Product I need, no.
I get how hard this thing was to build. I worked in the PC business long enough to know what all has to be integrated into very tight spaces, and the thermal engineers I am sure are still sweating bullets… But really…
…all that effort and all we get is thin??? Come on! […]
Audioengine launches the AW1, the Swiss Army Knife of wireless audio gadgets
Our good friends over at Audioengine announced their AW1 at CES last week. I’m really excited this device is out there finally, because it’s just a versatile little widget for whatever wireless audio links you can think of. Unlike any other product enabled by Avnera so far, the AW1 audio transmitter accepts […]
Logitech Squeezebox Duet, not bad looking. Not cheap.
Our friends over at Logitech are showing what’s come of their acquisition of Slim Devices. The Squeezebox Duet is a slick piece of industrial design. A remote and a receiver. You can add receivers for $150, and you can add remotes for $300. Everything talks 802.11g in order to move music […]
