Yeah, I've experienced this first hand. I bought a new car, and purchased the Bluetooth Audio upgrade. This could be a killer feature, but the audio quality sucks so now I plug it in. At first I blamed the car, now I blame the phone.

Everything else about the experience is so cool. Start the car, use the iphone to start playing music. Turn the car off, and the iphone pauses. Turn the car back on, and the iphone starts playing again! Genius!

Seriously?! My cheapo Samsung phone has good A2DP quality. Why does the iPhone suck at something as basic as this?! Seriously. I feel sorry for anyone who drops that much money on a phone that can't do even A2DP as well as a cheap phone (and seems to be worse at other things too)...

I agree completely! The A2DP quality from the iphone is garbage. Prior to 3.0, I have been using a bluetooth a2dp dongle that attaches to the dock port on the phone. The audio quality from the dongle is quite good (I really can't tell the difference). However, if I connect directly to the on-board bluetooth, the quality is very bad. I'm hoping somebody can figure out a way to adjust the bitpool to increase the quality.
