I can assure you this is not a new idea. I think the challenge is that the audio quality and cost point simply don’t make a very compelling consumer solution right now. Wait for the next economic bubble. Then you’re likely to see these.

Hmmm. Panasonic SC-ZT1s look like lamp stands. Maybe, they should attach some light bulb holders on them.
